Welcome to the North Berwick Day Centre web site
October 2021 – We are pleased to announce that the centre is now open 5 days a week for up to 13 members each day taking into account the social distancing requirement which is still below our registered capacity. Bus trips are being organised but only when the bus is available once members have been transported to and from the centre.
There are a number of new members who have been referred to us and they are being integrated into the service where appropriate.
The refurbished garden has been a great hit with members especially when the weather has been fine.
Contact with members when they are at home is still being maintained by staff and volunteers.
We constantly assess the best service to provide within the continually changing guidelines and risk factors of this pandemic.
Once again our dedicated staff team and our invaluable volunteers have been providing a first class service specifically tailored to the needs of the individual member and their family
About the Day Centre
The North Berwick Day Centre is all about improving the quality of life for older people who live independently in and around North Berwick. The Day Centre is in the centre of the North Berwick community; it’s a place to make new friends and keep in touch with old ones.
Our activities help people learn new skills and hobbies, rediscover old ones, build confidence and have fun. We also provide a little bit of help and support and a nutritious home cooked meal – all the ingredients to help people live longer and more happily and independently in their own homes.
If you are living independently in the community, and want a bit more out of life (or know someone who does) get in touch.
If you need support with hearing, mobility, sight, special diet etc. you will be supported by the staff at the Day Centre, who will ensure you have the appropriate equipment or support to enable you to get the most from your day centre.
