Luminate Concert - 22 October 2014

Luminate posterThe North Berwick Luminate event was in the Hope Rooms on 22/10 About 60 people came along from the North Berwick Day Centre, local care homes and the Edington Hospital. The were joined by friends, family and volunteers. We started off with the Erskine String Quarter, who are part of Live Music Now Scotland. They played a wonderful selection of classical and popular music and just enthralled everyone, finishing their set with La Bamba, a real toe tapper! After a feast of cake (donated and baked by Joyce Strachan and Rod Bunney) the North Berwick Day Centre choir performed. Everyone joined in with a feast of hits from 'Where did you get that hat' to 'Oh yes, I remember it well' that had the audience in stitches. It was a wonderful afternoon and everyone left with a big smile in their eyes and  song on their lips. As one lady put it: "It was a simply marvellous afternoon, I enjoyed it immensely.
